Complaints about the NMa

Since December 6th 2001, the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa), the Office of Energy Regulation and the Office of Transport Regulation have had a Complaints Officer. Anyone may submit a complaint to this employee with regard to the way in which the NMa carry out its activities. Before a decision is taken to process the complaint further, the complaints officer tries to assist the complainant to reach a solution through consultation or by other means.

The processing of complaints is set out in the 'Decree in Relation to the Complaints Officer of the NMa', which is based on the General Administrative Law Act. The NMa decides on the processing of the complaint on the advice of the Complaints Officer.
